If you need a desktop laser that cuts metal AND does deep engraving, the Xtool F1 Ultra is the only machine under $3,000 I'd trust with our production budget.

- Software-averse users: You need to be comfortable tweaking power/speed profiles. If you want 'click and print', look at LP5 or a simple diode.
- Color engraving on metal: F1 Ultra can do it, but only on specific anodized aluminum. Not on raw steel. Don't believe the marketing images without testing your material.
The satisfaction of finally getting a perfect deep engraving on a stainless steel Yeti cup after 6 failed attempts? That's the payoff. No Dremel chatter, no redo costs. Just clean, passivated marks that meet our durability spec.
