Why I’m Writing This Comparison

Xtool F1 Ultra: The Xtool software is more desktop-oriented. Supports common formats (SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG). The material presets are generally accurate — better than starting from scratch. Is the F1 Ultra perfect? No. The software needs work, the laser switching is manual, and the price ($2,500-3,000 base) is steeper. But for a mixed-material shop, it’s a better investment than a dedicated fiber laser plus a separate diode laser.

One final thought: I learned this in 2023 when I tried to save $800 by buying a used CO2 laser instead of a fiber unit. It was too big, too slow, and couldn‘t mark metal anyway. I sold it at a loss. The F1 Ultra, so far, has paid for itself in about 4 months of orders.
